Welcome to Easy Pickin's Orchard !

** March 6, 2015 **:

Just keep telling yourself ... this stuff has got to melt SOON !  (for farmers that translates to, "mud season is coming !")  You need some vitamins to perk you up, so check out what we're offering these days from the cooler & cold cellar -- and come get some GREENS from our GREENHOUSE, too !  Here's what we can provide for your winter menus, & how to get it:

1) sales from the farmhouse:

check the list of produce items we're offering, e-mail us at farmerb@easypickinsorchard.com to order whatever you need, & come get it !

**AVAILABLE NOW**:

* apples: going fast; get 'em SOON if you want to make pie or sauce.

* cabbage, carrots, potatoes, leeks, onions, shallots: plenty !

* SPINACH, KALE & other seasonal greens: growing in our winter greenhouse.  YES, it's time to start asking for them -- they're perking up nicely (hmmm ... will they get even better with the start of Daylight Saving Time ??  ;)  ).

** SPECIAL WHILE SUPPLIES LAST **:

6 leeks & 2 lb all-purpose potatoes for only $5.

AVAILABLE at the farmers' markets we're going to, or e-mail us if you want to pick up at the farmhouse.  SOUP !!! SUPER !!!  (or quiche or casserole or frittata or ...  )

3) fall & winter farmers' markets: see our "Farmers' Markets" page; we have 2 more weekends in Ellington.

Hope you're all staying warm & well this winter -- and hope you're looking forward to spring planting season ... meanwhile, WATCH THIS SPACE for delicious local eating opportunities for the rest of the winter !

When you come out to Easy Pickin's, PLEASE REMEMBER:
