Pickin' Hints

For your "Pickin' Pleasure" keep these helpful hints in mind.

• Remember the sun! Bring hats and sunscreen to protect yourself and the kids. Don't leave harvested produce sitting in the hot sun or in a hot car for any length of time.

• Follow the signs! We place signs in front of each crop that is ripe. If there isn't a sign on the row the crop isn't ready for picking. The signs will also instruct you on how to pick and use the produce.

• Pet Policy! A family farm is also a food production facility. We ask you to please keep your pets leashed and in the parking area only. Please clean-up after your pet.

• Ask for information! When you first get to the farm stop at the stand to find out what's available, where to pick, and to get picking tools and containers.

• Please supervise children! While we encourage you to share the farm experience with your children, proper supervision should be your priority. The outdoors is a great place for kids to enjoy and learn but we all know they can find creative ways to get into trouble quickly. Please don't let them pick more than you want to buy.

• Remember the bugs! A little insect repellent will make your visit to the farm more comfortable. Also remember to wear closed footwear. We try to maintain our grounds but bare feet or sandals are not always appropriate.

• Remember the camera! Here at Easy Pickin's Orchard there are many photo opportunities on our picturesque farm!
