** REFRIGERATE ALL BERRIES AS SOON AS YOU GET THEM HOME !! **
** Try to keep moisture off berries in the fridge -- cover them lightly. **

-- strawberries: Use within a few days. They can be frozen, usually with a little sugar to help preserve the color.

-- blueberries: Will keep for several days.  They freeze well, & retain their texture & flavor.  2 common freezing methods:
a) Flash-freeze a single layer of berries on a cookie sheet, then put them in small plastic containers.
b) Put berries into small (quart-size) freezer bags, gently force the air out, seal & freeze.
*BEST NOT TO WASH BERRIES BEFORE FREEZING*:  too difficult to dry them adequately, and the moisture will ruin the texture (they'll thaw limp & wrinkly).

-- raspberries: VERY fragile, VERY subject to mold; use within a day or 2.  They can be frozen as you freeze blueberries; the flavor will remain good, but they usually "wilt" a bit when thawed.
